Carpet beetles live in homes feeding on things like carpet clothing and bedding and causing damage. They can be found near upholstered furniture closets air ducts and lint buildups. Carpet beetle eggs are white or cream in color and measure 1 4 to 1 2 mm in length. They feed outdoors on pollen or not at all.

Adult carpet beetles do not damage fabrics. Carpet beetles are common pests of fabrics.
